1. Group Hikes/Walks:

Our goal is for the group members to be safe, to get exercise, to socialize and to have fun! We want your dog to return home tired, mellow and happy.

Where do we go?

Your dogs will hike in the hills and woods of Southern Marin. Or, they may go for walks on trails in parks or on quiet residential streets. Occasionally, we go to the beach for an hour of running, chasing, swimming and playing. We deeply care about the environment so we always remove dog waste and observe leash laws.

Who is in the group?

Outings consist of a small group of dogs who have been carefully screened for compatibility in size, energy and temperament. The average number of dogs in a pack is four to five and no more than six. The goal of Paws in Motion is to build stable groups of dogs who get to know each other, relax and enjoy each adventure. The small number of participants also enables us to carry water, as most dogs get very thirsty, especially when it’s sunny out.
 

How long are we gone?

A typical hike or walk from start to finish is approximately 60 minutes, weather and conditions permitting —not including transportation to and from home. Your dog may be away from home for 2-4 hours. The location of the field trip varies in order to keep the outings interesting and exciting. In areas where it is permitted, well trained dogs are allowed off-leash as long as they remain close by, within sight and you permit it. After our hike, we dry them off and do a quick inspection for burrs, foxtails, and ticks. On occasion, we will send you a text or email of your dog having fun on the trail.

Group Hikes/Walks Rates:

60 Minute Outings plus transportation

Price per hike for 1 dog: $40

Price per hike for 2 dogs in the same household: $70

2. In-Home Boarding

Paws In Motion in-home boarding is a home away from home for your dog. Your pooch becomes a member of our family when you are away on vacation, on a weekend getaway or traveling on business. You supply us with your pup's food, medicine, bed and anything else needed for us to maintain a normal daily routine, we take care of everything else. Your dog participates in our daily activities. He or she comes along on doggie field trips during the week or on special walks during the weekend and on holidays. So, while you are away, your dog is on vacation too.

In-Home Boarding Rates:

$ 80/day = one dog sleepover (based on 24-hour intervals); add $10/day if less than 2 years old; 10% discount for stays of 10 or more consecutive days

$140/day= two dogs in the same household; add $10/day per dog less than 2 years old;
